There is absolutely no catch. There is NO trial period. We offer 100% FREE classified ads at anytime to people who want to sell something, offer a service or promote an event or webpage.

-Can anyone place a FREE classified ad on Zonecity?
Anyone can place a FREE classified ad on Zonecity. All we ask you do is to open an account with us and follow our rules.

-How do I open a Zonecity account?
To open an account with Zonecity you do the following:

Step 1) Click on the "Register" tab found on the Upper/Middle section of the home page.

Step 2) Enter in the following information
-First Name (Informal way of introducing yourself)
-Zip Code (Verify if you are a local person to the Zonecity Community)
-Username (Your Account ID Name)
-Password (a security feature for your account)
-Valid Email (A way for us to send you your password if you lose it)
-Special Random Code (to make sure you're a real person setting up accounts and not an automated program)
-Hit Button

Step 3) You must open your email from ZoneCity to the account that you submitted. The email is:
-From: No Reply - ZoneCity
-Subject: Please active your ZoneCity Account
-Within this email -you will find your verification code

Step4) Activate Your Account
-Enter your Username
-Enter your Password
-Enter your verification code(from your email in Step 3) DONE... You can now begin posting.

-How do I place a Zonecity Ad?
Step 1) Once an account is created (see above)... you can start placing an ad.

Step 2) Log In.

Step 3 Find & Click Post Link on the "Classified Box" on the home page.

Step 4) Pick a category that best describe your product, if nothing fits select others.

Step 5) Pick a Detailed Subcategories that best describe your product, if nothing fits select others.

Step 6) Filling the form.

-Ad Title... make it informative and catchy
-Price... either enter a number for the price or click on text description
-Item Information... Type up Description of your product that will help you sell including additional contact information
-Upload a photo... Please use only JPEG format and keep the file size under 200kbs. If your image is larger than 450px X 450px it will be resized when posted.
-Enter the verification code...
-Press the button If everything was inputted correctly... you end up at the ad management page listing all the ads you've placed... you can edit or delete you ad there.

-How do I place an effective ad?
Remember you are responsible for your Ads Content. Here some tips...

-Tip #1: Spelling and Grammar - We mess this one up all the time ourselves. Try using a word processor's spelling and grammar check to write up smart sounding text. Copy and paste the text into the ad placement form.

-Tip #2: Catchy Ad Title: Ad Title should descriptive to lure people to view your ad. Example: 79 Firebird Restored, Have to See to Believe!

-Tip #3: Contact Info in the text... make sure you list contact information that you are comfortable with. We have a private message system to protect your privacy, but if you're a salesman and you want more direct responses go ahead list your direct business contact number and email. But remember this is not a requirement. You are responsible for your own ad.

-Tip #4: Good Photos. All ads are allowed a photo. Make a good looking photo... make sure its in JPEG format and it's a reasonable size (like 600w x 400t)

-Tip #5: Manage Your Own Ad. If you sell your item... delete your ad. If want to change the photo or text... edit your ad. This can all be done in the account management page. When you log in to your account... click on the "my account" tab. This will allow you to see and manage your reply messages, your ads, your other postings, and profile.

-How do I contact people who have placed classified ads on Zonecity?
To protect everyone's email and privacy we created an internal message system to take in replies of people ads. If you see something in the classified ad section that you want some more information section, you can click on button found on each ad to send a message directly to the seller. The seller will get an email letting them know someone has sent an inquiry about their ad. Your message can express your interest in the item and you can exchange contact information in relative privacy and conduct your business. If the seller placed contact information within the text portion of their ad... please feel free to contact them directly and conduct your business.

-How do I get my messages from people who have responded to my ads?
When you notice an email tickler from Zonecity, this means someone responded to your ad through the Zonecity private message system. You can check on your messages in your account management page. You do this by logging in to Zonecity. When you log in to your account... click on the "my account" tab. You will see the following choices on the Account Management Page:

My Account
My Messages
My Classified Ads
My Directory Listings
Also
Upgrade to a Business Account (if you are not an advertiser)
Or
My Business Account (if you are an advertiser)

Click on My Messages. This will allow you to see the messages to the reply by other Zonecity members.

-What are the rules for using Zonecity?
We want to maintain a family quality community site for people to conduct business, share ideas, and promote things to the community. We support freedom of speech but we draw the line at certain elements on our site. Click here to view the rules. If these rules are too tough for you to follow…simple go to another website.

-What do to if I see a posting on Zonecity that is violation of the rules?
We encourage all members of Zonecity to help us police each other to maintain good standards of our community, if you find someone not following the rules, please report abuse by clicking on the Report Abuse button found on each classified ad or at the bottom of each page.

-Does Zonecity verify the classified ads?
Zonecity wants to promote business in the local community. Zonecity does not verify any businesses that post to this website. So treat it similar to the phone books or the newspaper classified. Buyers and sellers please beware of each other. Conduct an investigation... ask questions, request and check referrals. Be smart out there.

-Can I list my website within the Zonecity directories?
We built our website directories for local people to promote themselves. We noticed a lot of people who were building websites to promote businesses and personal ideas, but were not getting traffic. So feel free to list your website under the proper category for your website. Also feel free to check out other local people's websites. There some great ideas floating around out there. There is nothing worse than starting a blog to vent your opinion and no one checking it out.
